Introducing Myself
My name is Liz, I would like to share a little about myself.
I am of Samoan and Tongan heritage. I speak Samoan and lived there for seven years. My sisters and I lived with our grandparents during that time, and I am very intentional with ensuring I visit my motherland Samoa every couple of years. I am one of seven children. I have been married for 14 years, and we have an 11 year old son. In addition to my family is my furry son Zuko, he is three years young and is a cross breed American Staffordshire and bull mastiff. My working background is within the hospitality and airline industry. I recognised within myself I was an extremely compassionate and empathic person. My unwavering passion for helping others has been the driving force behind my career change.
FAQ’S
If our families know each other, can we still make an agreement?
No, I have to follow the rules of ACA which means I can't counsel someone I know. But I can refer you to trusted colleagues.
Is everything I say kept confidential?
Yes, your privacy is important and what you say will be kept confidential, the only exception is if what you share could harm yourself or others. Then I have to take action to protect you or them.
Will therapy help me?
It depends on your willingness and readiness for change. Progress happens when you put to work what you have learnt in sessions within your own context. Accountability is important.
Can I change how often I have sessions?
Yes, we can work together to find a schedule that suits your finances and life.
